Pet of the week, Veronica

Our featured pets this week are Veronica and Hugo. Veronica is a gorgeous black and white cat with deep golden-colored eyes. She’s about 2 years old and came to the shelter when her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. Veronica is a real sweetheart. She loves attention and has a good purring motor. Won’t you come and meet Veronica and see if she’s the kitty for you?

Hugo is a darling 14-week-old shepherd mix puppy. He has a fluffy, light brown coat and a happy disposition. Hugo is a playful boy and he’s just the right age to start his training. With the love and attention he will receive in his new home, Hugo will make a great family pet. Hugo also has several siblings that need loving homes, so there’s plenty of cuteness to go around. You can preview many of our available pets at our website www.homes4pets.org.

Join us this weekend for a special three-day PetSmart National Adoption Event at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart just north of Nicholasville. We will have many of our beautiful kittens, puppies, cats and dogs at the store 4-7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday. If you are interested in adding a new pet to your home, this will be a wonderful opportunity to find your perfect match.

Not ready or able to adopt at this time but want to help the homeless animals? You can donate much-needed supplies such as Purina puppy and kitten chow, used blankets and towels, bleach, laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels and cat litter.
