Boyle County's annual farmers market Christmas sale is Saturday
The Boyle County Farmers Market will hold its fourth annual Christmas sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds on the Danville bypass.
 
Come visit us at the brown metal building located just behind our usual market area. There will be lots of great gifts, gift baskets, fresh greenery and baked goods, just to name a few. See below for a listing of some of the great things you will find.

Briar Knob Farm: sourdough sweet breads, sourdough bread and rolls, pumpkin bread, cheddar cheese rolls and granola.

Bush Farms:  Amaretto-cherry and bourbon balls; cakes in a jar; dip mixes; fresh greenery and door swags; friendship tea; gift baskets and gift sets; honey; Makers’ Mark pies; mini-jam cakes; old-fashioned button towels; party sauce; pepper jams — mild, medium and hot; pickled beets; pumpkin pie-spiced nuts; salsa; squash bars; and winter veggies.

We will have food samples available for tasting along with complimentary warm spiced cider and friendship tea.

Healthy Acres (Simon Miller Family Farm): Elizabeth’s breads (three kinds); fresh chicken and beef cuts; handmade Christmas cards; handmade doilies and hot pads; homemade grape nuts; party mix; popcorn-ladyfingers variety; popped corn; seasoned soda crackers; shelled walnuts; and sweet potatoes.

Knobview Farm: turnips, sweet potatoes, spinach, spring mix, radishes, greens, green onions, jam cakes, fried apple pies, dried apple stack cakes, jams and jellies, candies and fudge, and Christmas wreaths.
Poorhouse Farm: sorghum.

The indoor Boyle County Farmers Market will be set up  in the Professional Building on Main Street, next to Hilliard and Lyons for the next three weeks. We are open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday through Dec. 29. Stop in for fresh vegetables, baked goods, jams, jellies and more.
