Ophie and Martha are our featured pets this week. Ophie is a gorgeous 2-year-old tabby. She has the sweetest meow, the softest coat and is very affectionate. Ophie gets along famously with everyone and loves to be held. She has a wonderful disposition and would make the greatest addition to your family. Come see Ophie, and her beautiful green eyes will steal your heart!
Martha is a darling 3-year-old rat terrier mix. She weighs about 20 pounds, and the first things you will notice are her big, adorable ears. Her personality is exceptiona, and she is fun to be around. Martha is not overly active or excitable and will make a great little indoor companion. She also does well with other dogs. Martha has been spayed and is ready to start a new life in her forever home.
Valentine’s Day is Thursday. They say you can’t buy love, but you can adopt love at the humane society! We have cats of many colors, sizes and personalities available at both the humane society and our adoption center at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart just north of Nicholasville. Puppies available include beagle mixes, border collie mixes, terriers and labs, just to name a few. Are you interested in a dog that is past the puppy stage? We have a dachshund mix, blue heeler mix, boxer mix and Australian shepherd and other adult dogs available. The thing that all these pets have in common is that they need loving forever homes.
Not ready or able to adopt at this time but want to help the homeless animals? You can donate much needed supplies such as Purina puppy and kitten chow, used blankets and towels, bleach, laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels and cat litter.
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
