Weekender: Country music group will celebrate album release Thursday at Eddie Montgomery's Steakhouse in Harrodsburg
HARRODSBURG — Country music sensation Jetset Getset will celebrate its new album, “Saturday Night,” on Playback Records, with a performance at Eddie Montgomery’s Steakhouse and nightclub Jan. 31. The appearance comes on the heels of the teenage group’s standing-room-only album release concert in Cincinnati and a recent performance at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville, Tenn.

“We love Eddie Montgomery’s music, and we’ve heard great things about his restaurant and nightclub,” said Kelli Jette, manager of Jetset Getset. “We are looking forward to playing there.”

Known for its three-part harmonies, Jetset Getset has been compared by some critics to a younger version of the Dixie Chicks. The group is fronted by 15-year-old singers Tori Little, Avery Eliason and Sadie Loveland. They are backed on stage by bass player Paul Kelley, 17; lead guitarist Jason Owens, 16; rhythm guitarist Justen Jette, 15; drummer Gillian Bowman, 13; and keyboard player Terry Ranck, the only adult who performs with the band on a regular basis.

“These are incredibly talented teenagers who want to set a positive example for other kids,” Jette said. “Audiences who have never seen Jetset Getset fall in love with them, wherever they perform.”

Jetset Getset, based in Dearborn County, Ind., had previously performed at fairs and festivals in the South and the Midwest, beginning in 2011. In the spring of 2012, Gold record-winning producer Jack Gale discovered them performing on “The Shotgun Red Variety Show” on nationally syndicated RFD-TV.

Gale came out of retirement and reactivated his company, Playback Records, to produce “Saturday Night” with help from co-producer Jim Pierce and some of Nashville’s leading session players, including guitarist Kerry Marx, drummer Eddie Bayers, acoustic guitarist Michael Spriggs, bass guitarist Duncan Mullins, pianist Michael Rojas, fiddler Rob Hajacos, and fiddler/mandolin player Wanda Vick.

Jetset Getset will appear at Eddie Montgomery’s Steakhouse, 180 Lucky Man Way at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31. Also performing will be Kayla Floyd at 8:20 p.m. and Blake Branscom at 9:15 p.m.
