Paint Lick Community Arts Center classes:
- Embroidered Jewelry — 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday. Instructors are Alisa Vogt and Kim Hollis. Students will make a hand-embroidered jewelry piece made with muslin, embroidery floss and jewelry findings. Materials provided except a hoop. Fee is $20. Call the center to enroll at (859) 925-2741.
- Hand-Painted Gourd Ornament — 9:30-12:30 p.m. Thursday. Instructor is Donna Bosher of Berea. She will teach the basics of gourd painting. Each student will complete a gourd ornament to take home. Materials will be provided. Fee is $10. To enroll, call (859) 925-2741
- Folded-Star Quilt Ornament —1-6:30 p.m. Monday. Instructor, Mary Hixson, will teach students how to make a beautiful, ball-shaped ornament that, when completed, looks like a quilt. Materials are provided. Fee is $10. To enroll, call (859) 925-2741.
- Meditation Sampler — 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Instructor is Kristina Beaman, a regular yoga teacher at the center, offering a one-time evening of sampling various methods of meditation. Students must bring two or three blankets. Fee is $5.
Danville-Boyle County Adult Education Learning Center — Open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 1714 Perryville Road, Danville Square Suites, 112 (next to Big Lots).
