Blood drive
Kentucky Blood Center Blood Drive — Noon-4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Boyle County Public Library in the Heart of Danville community room. Every donor will be entered to win one of five $25 Walmart gift cards. Forgo a T-shirt when donating and the blood center will give the value of it to the Salvation Army. The donation can provide healthy snacks for four children; two meals for homeless women and children; Gatorade and snacks for three firefighters; or a hat and gloves for a homeless person. Classes
Children’s Jewelry Class — 10 a.m.-noon Dec. 15, children in grades K-8 are invited to gather at the Lincoln County Public Library to make bead jewelry. Participants will make a bracelet for themselves or for a friend for Christmas. For more information, call (606) 365-7513.
Danville-Boyle County Adult Education Learning Center — Open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 1714 Perryville Road, Danville Square Suites, 112 (next to Big Lots). Community Arts Center Monthly Social Dances — 6 p.m. first Sunday each month at 401 W. Main St. Resident ballroom instructor Wesley Bratcher will teach the basics of Salsa, Swing, Cha Cha, Foxtrot and more. Lesson starts at 6 p.m., open dance starts at 7 p.m. First visit is free. Danville Dance Coalition Meetings — 7 p.m. first Monday every month at the Community Arts Center, 401 W.
