Classes

Danville-Boyle County Adult Education Learning Center — Open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 1714 Perryville Road, Danville Square Suites, 112 (next to Big Lots). Free GED preparation, workplace training and adult education classes. Enrollment sessions begin at 9 a.m. Monday and Wednesday. For more information, call (859) 238-2171.

GED Classes — Held weekly in Stanford, Crab Orchard, McKinney and Waynesburg. Classes also available include adult basic education, computer, workplace skills, English as second language and others. For more information, call (606) 365-9665.

Mercer County Adult Education — Free GED preparation, workplace soft-skill training, basic computer training and other instruction based on needs of participant. Organizations

AARP Chapter of Garrard County — Noon Tuesday at the Garrard County Senior Citizens Center on Farra Drive in Lancaster. Cost of traditional Thanksgiving meal is responsibility of participant. Members of the National AARP or those 50 and older interested in learning about the group are welcome, including residents of surrounding counties.
