Graduates
On May 5, husband and wife Josh and Kellie Dillman graduated from the University of the Cumberlands for a second time. Josh received a master of business administration degree, and Kellie received a master of education degree.
Josh is the son of Tim and Kim Dillman of Fairdale. He graduated from Beth Haven Christian School in 2005 and received his bachelor of science degree in accounting in 2009 from University of the Cumberlands. He is employed at Prestress Services in Lexington.
Kellie is the daughter of Danny and Angie Hatter of Danville. She graduated from Boyle County High School in 2005 and received her bachelor of arts degree in elementary education in 2009 from University of the Cumberlands. She is employed by Fayette County Public Schools.
Gatton Academy
BOWLING GREEN — The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky at Western Kentucky University recently recognized its fifth graduating class of high school seniors. Local students include Lukas Levon Cunha Missik of Boyle County, a graduate with distinction; and Tennesse Joyce of Mercer County.
Scholarships
On May 14, at Mercer County Senior High School’s Awards Night, Jonathan Coffman, son of Lonnie and Pansy Coffman of Burgin, was awarded the $1,000 Bro. Marcus and Josephine Prather Memorial Scholarship. Jonathan will attend the University of Kentucky in the fall.
He was presented the award by Lee Sanders, who along with his father Larry and sister Tonya Schroeder, are owners of Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
The award was created in 1996 by the Sanders family at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home to honor the memory of long-time Mercer County educators Marcus and Josephine Prather. Since its inception, $17,000 has been awarded by Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home to graduating seniors at Mercer County High School.
Summer ministries
Campbellsville University: Students who will have internships across Kentucky during summer break include:
Andrew Neal of Harrodsburg, a freshman, will serve as a House Church intern in Campbellsville.
Jonathan Kidd of Harrodsburg, a senior, will serve as pastoral intern at New Hope Baptist Church in Moreland.
Dakota Rogers of Harrodsburg, a junior, will serve as a Vineyard Christian Fellowship intern in Campbellsville.
Rebecca Cook of Stanford, a junior, will serve at Crossing Camps at Cedarmore.

University of Arkansas at Monticello: Russell C. Kreider of Danville.
Eastern Kentucky University: Kelsie Elizabeth Bauder, College of Health Sciences. She is the daughter of Mark and Lisa Bauder of Junction City. Her grandparents are Donna Shepherd and Jack And Mary Shepherd, all of Danville.
