Chris and Bill Von Matt of Lee Center, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Tamara Rose Von Matt, to Mark Edward Simpson, son of Kathy and Bill Simpson of Danville.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y., with a BA in psychology, and a 2002 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Master of Education.
The groom-elect is a 1992 graduate of Boyle County High School and a 1997 graduate of University or North Carolina, Wilmington with a BA in communications degree. He is a news videographer for WRAL TV in Raleigh, N.C.
A wedding is planned for 11 a.m. May 5 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh, N.C.
