Joe and Paula Gibson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 17, 2012, on vacation with friends and family. They were married Feb. 17, 1962, at Shawnee Run Baptist Church in Mercer County.
Paula is the former Paula Benedict, daughter of the late J. Paul and Mildred Benedict of Danville. Joe is the son of the late James Patrick and Lucille Gibson of Danville.
They have two daughters, Lisa Gibson Terrell of Danville and Stephanie Gibson Creech (Mark) of Nicholasville. They also have three granddaughters, Brittany Terrell Greene (Tyler) of Garrard County, Brooke Terrell, in school at Savannah,¿Ga., and Ava Grace Creech of Nicholasville.
