Special services

Trinity Episcopal Church — 9:30 a.m. June 3, the church will celebrate the Feast of the Trinity. This is a special feast day, and the church will celebrate with special music and Holy Communion. 

 

Giveaways

Burgin Christian Church — 8-10 a.m. Saturday, the church will have a free farmers market. Items given away include garden vegetables, baked goods, food bags and bedding plants. Free breakfast will be served. The free market will be held the last Saturday of each month during summer. The church is at 300 W. Main St., Burgin. For  more information, call (859) 748-5232.

 

Fundraisers

Christ The Head Missionary Church — 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, the church will have a car wash to raise funds for Vacation Bible School. The church is at 845 E. Main St. For more information, call (859) 936-7300.

Christ The Head Missionary Church — beginning at 9 a.m. June 1, the church will have a rummage sale at 845 E. Main St. The sale will include  furniture, household goods, appliances etc. The church is at 845 E. Main St., across from the pond.

First Christian Church — 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, the church will have a fundraising recital in the sanctuary at 555 E. Lexington Ave. The money raised with help  Rianne (Marcum) Chandler attend the American Singers Opera Project, a not-for-profit organization training emerging opera singers.

 

Youth event

Fusion Youth Event — beginning at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Millenium Park shelter. The speaker will be Jason Kilby, pastor of CenterPoint Church. The CenterPoint worship band will provide music. Vacation Bible School

Redemption Road Church — 6:30-8:30 p.m.  June 11-15 at the church on Green River Road, Stanford, for students ages 3-13. The theme is “Babylon: Daniel’s Courage in Captivity.” For more information and to register, call (606) 669-2469.

 

Car show

God’s Landmark Church — 11 a.m.-4 p.m. June 2, the church will have a truck, car and tractor show and free fish fry. The event will include music by various groups and individuals. Bring lawn chairs. The church is at 1433 Kennedy Bridge Road in Garrard County.
