St. James AME Church — Sunday, the women are hosting Women’s Day at the church. The 11 a.m. speaker will be the Rev. Sherry Green and congregation of Craig Chapel AME¿in Salvisa. The 3:30 p.m. speaker will be the Rev. Revonda Bright and congregation of Allen Chapel AME in Moreland.
First Baptist Church, Second and Walnut streets — 3 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Darrick A. Briscoe and congregation will visit Greater Liberty Baptist Church, at 330 Chestnut St. in Lexington, in celebration of its 130th church anniversary.
6 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Darrick A. Briscoe will preach at Antioch Baptist Church, 437 Ferguson St., Lexington.
