Homecoming

Stoney Point Predestinarian Baptist Church — Sunday, the church will have a homecoming rally. Dinner will be served after the 11:30 a.m. service. The Rev.¿Shay Brown and congregation of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Lancaster will be the 3:30 p.m. guests. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. The church is at 51 Stoney Point Road, Danville.

Vacation Bible School

Alum Springs First Church of God — 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, for kids 3-12 years old at the church on Ky. 300, between Junction City and Parksville. Activities include lessons, singing, crafts and a pizza lunch. For more information, call (859) 236-4859.

Hustonville Baptist Church — 6-8:45 p.m. July 25-29.¿The theme is “Big Apple Adventure.” A free meal will be served and activities include Bible study, fun crafts, recreation and music. The church is at 9959 Main St.

Dedication service

Danville First Church of God — 3 p.m. Sunday, the church will have a dedication service for its new facility addition and celebrate the church’s 75 years of ministry to the community. Good things to eat

St. James AME Church — 3-7:30 p.m. Saturday, the church at 124 E. Walnut St., will hold a dinner buffet. Cost is $8 for all you can eat fish, fried or baked chicken, meatloaf, vegetables, cole slaw, baked beans, cabbage, potato salad, green beans, soup beans and macaroni and cheese. Burgin Christian Church — 8-10 a.m. July 30, the church will have a free farmers market at 300 W. Main St., Burgin. Fresh produce from local gardens will be given away, as well as plants, baked goods and canned foods.

Kings Mountain Community Church — 2-6 p.m. Saturday, the church, on Ky. 501 in Lincoln County, will have a free yard sale and community dinner. The menu includes soup beans, corn bread and fried potatoes. For more information, call (606) 379-0580.

Kentucky District of the Pentecostal Church of God will host its state-wide camp meeting at the Church of the Living God, 7 p.m. Aug. 3, 4 and 5 at 114 Franklin Avenue in Winchester. Terry Bates, pastor of Oklahoma City Faith Church, will be the evangelist Aug. 3 and 5. District Superintendent Rev. James Rayburn will speak Aug. 5.
