Back to school festival

 Christ The Head Missionary Church — 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, the church will have a community back-to-school festival. Members will give out backpacks with school supplies. Radio personality Charlie Perry will be broadcasting and cooking out. Everyone is welcome.

 

Speakers

 Hope Full Gospel Church — 3:30 p.m. Sunday, the speaker will be the Rev. William Morton Jr. of Thy Kingdom¿Ministries in Frankfort.

 Consolidated Baptist Church, Lexington — 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Darrick Briscoe will speak.

  First Baptist Church, Stamping Ground —  3 p.m. July 22, the Rev. Darrick Briscoe will speak in celebration of Pastor William Beasley’s 21st anniversary.  

 

Youth Rally

Church anniversary

 First Baptist Church, Second and Walnut streets — Aug. 5 the church will celebrate its 166th church anniversary . The Rev. John Lee and congregation of Greater Liberty Baptist Church, Lexington, will be the 3 p.m. guest speaker.

 

Homecoming

 Harris Creek Baptist Church — Sunday, the church will celebrate homecoming. Stanley Hardin will speak. A¿potluck meal will be served after the morning service. Destiny of Indiana will perform Sunday afternoon. The church also is welcoming its new pastor, Ronnie Lee.

 

Fundraisers

 A fundraising event for Jesus Christ Chapel Ministries Inc. will be held 6 p.m. July 21 at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset. Guest speaker will be actor and director Danny Glover.  The featured product will be Morinda Bioactive Thrive Max. The event will be hosted by Cornelius and Maggie Anna Duncan.
