JUNCTION CITY — A Junction City man was cited Monday after he allegedly attempted to burn trash in his yard on 425 W. Shelby St., in violation of a city ordinance.
When fire crews arrived, they discovered Zachary A. Vanderteems allegedly attempting to burn household-related items, some of which were plastic, according to the Junction City Fire Department.
These items violated an ordinance passed by the City Council in December. Anyone caught burning illegally could receive a fine between $50 and $500.
