Danville police responded to a disturbance call on Colonel Drive about 12:40 a.m. today.
A Centre College student told police an ex-boyfriend, Hayden Williams, 20, of Sonora, entered her dorm and assaulted her, then refused to leave. She had minor injuries.
Williams, who had left the premises, was picked up in Sonora by Kentucky State Police. He is charged with assault, burglary and kidnapping and will be transported to the Boyle County Detention Center later today.
