No one was injured but a dentists’ office in downtown Danville sustained damage Tuesday when a car plowed into it.
According to a Danville police report, Brenda Mansfield, of Lancaster, was attempting to pull her vehicle in to a parking space on the south side of Danville Family Dentistry, 132 N. Second St., when the crash occurred about 9:30 a.m.
Mansfield mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake as she was easing into the parking space, causing the vehicle to jump a curb and crash in to the office, the report states.
Mansfield’s vehicle sustained only minor damage to the front end, but the south wall of the building has damage to both its interior and exterior, the report states.
Danville Family Dentistry is open for business today.
Officer Patrick McQueen investigated the crash.
