Danville man arrested in domestic assault

A Danville man was arrested after admittedly assaulting his girlfriend early this morning.

At 2:38 a.m., Danville police responded to apartment 15 at Off Broadway Apartments on West Main Street.

The girlfriend of Fredy Martinez-Montenegro, 29, told police Martinez-Montenegro had shoved and choked her.

Martinez-Montenegro admitted to shoving his girlfriend, according to a press release. He was charged with fourth-degree domestic assault and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
