Denyo moves headquarters to Danville
Denyo America Corp. and its affiliate, Denyo Manufacturing Corp., have relocated their North American corporate headquarters and staff from Los Angeles to Danville.
"Denyo Manufacturing Corp. is proud to have officially become a Kentucky corporation," Joey Harris, plant manager for the Danville facility, said in a press release from the Danville-Boyle Economic Development Partnership. "We physically moved the Denyo America Corp. office and its two employees from Los Angeles into our facility in August. The corporation move was official as of Nov. 29."
Harris said Danville has the necessary ingredients to help assure Denyo’s future investments and growth aspirations will be successful.
“The state and local government have and continue to be supportive. This community, as well as the other businesses and industries within it, network together in a special way. The Boyle County Industrial Foundation and the rest of the Danville-Boyle County Economic Development Partnership have been a great resource to us during our growth over the past 16 years. It is fitting that this happens during the year of the BCIF's 50th anniversary," he said.
Harris said the local labor force is second to none. “The dedication and positive attitude of our 123 Denyo Manufacturing Corp. employees that we currently have here cannot be matched anywhere else in America."
EDP President and CEO Jody Lassiter said Denyo already is investing $6.9 million to build a new 19,401-square-foot facility to add a high-tech, e-coating operation at its Danville plant to improve its generator production.
Denyo manufactures high-output diesel electric generators. The global headquarters for Denyo Co. Ltd. is in Tokyo.
“It's a great compliment that Denyo's leadership is covering that investment by relocating the company's U.S. headquarters from Los Angeles to Danville," Lassiter said. "We are honored by Denyo's confidence in our community as a great place to work and do business, and we are committed to our close partnership with Denyo to aid their continued success in Danville and Boyle County."
