A Danville man was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants Wednesday after crashing into a vehicle outside a daycare center.
Danville police said James Manning, 32, was driving east on Stanford Road about 3:48 p.m. when his 1987 Ford truck struck a vehicle parked in front of Tender Care Daycare at 338 Stanford Road.
The owner of the parked vehicle had just arrived to pick up children at the daycare facility and was not in her vehicle when the impact occurred.
Manning was arrested and charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and expired registration tags, along with numerous outstanding warrants. Manning was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for a medical clearance and later lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
