Garrard County child found dead

LANCASTER — A young boy who died in Garrard County is not suspected to be the victim of foul play.

According to Garrard Coroner Daryl Hodge, the stepfather of 4-year-old Chase Roution found the boy unresponsive Thursday morning.

An autopsy was performed, which is standard when someone under the age of 17 dies, according to Hodge.

Results could take 14 business days to receive. It is believed the child suffered from health issues and foul play is not suspected.
