LEXINGTON — A Stanford woman badly injured in the car crash that killed her sister less than two weeks ago died Saturday, officials said.

Ina Denney Bullock, 70, had been fighting for her life at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington since a head-on collision Nov. 7 on Ky. 39 south of Lancaster, said Fayette County Chief Deputy Coroner Miles White. She died of multiple blunt-force trauma injuries at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, White said.

About 2 p.m. Nov. 7, Bullock’s sister, Juanita Duvall, 67, of Crab Orchard, was driving a red Chevrolet Blazer on Ky. 39 toward Lancaster when the driver of a box truck lost control of his vehicle and struck Duvall’s vehicle head-on, said Garrard Coroner Daryl Hodge. Duvall was killed on impact.

The driver of the box truck, Ivo Scherbing, 22, of Crab Orchard, suffered a minor hand injury and was treated and released from Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford the day of the wreck, Hodge said.

Slick road conditions contributed to the crash, and no charges are expected, said Garrard County Sheriff Ronnie Wardrip.

Funeral services for Bullock will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 97, Crab Orchard, Ky. 40419.
