Harrodsburg driver charged after injury crash
HARRODSBURG — An Ohio man was injured Saturday morning when another driver, later charged with driving under the influence, crashed into a box truck being hooked up to a wrecker along Cummins Ferry Road.
Mercer County Deputy Scott Elder said Ronnie Shoemaker of Hillsboro, Ohio,was first transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical and later airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment of undetermined injuries.
Shoemaker was attempting to hook a box truck up to a tow truck when the collision occurred about 9:30 a.m. when Robert P. Anness, 22, of Harrodsburg, hit the vehicles.
Anness was charged with DUI and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
Driver flees after Danville collision
Danville police are looking for the driver of a maroon Chevy S10 pickup truck the fled the scene after rear-ending another vehicle Friday night on Hustonville Road.
According to police, Jacklynne Moore, 23, of Danville, was southbound when she stopped for traffic and was struck from behind by the pickup, which then fled using the access road to Reno’s Roadhouse.
The driver was a white male. The truck had a tool box in the bed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Danville Police Department at (859) 238-1220.
