Intruder cuts homeowner in Danville home invasion

Danville police are searching for an unknown man accused of cutting a homeowner during a burglary Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to a call from the 410 Harding St. home of Joshua Belcher about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Belcher told police he heard something and then encountered a Hispanic male inside the garage.

After a verbal altercation became physical, the man allegedly pulled out a small knife and cut Belcher before fleeing on foot. Belcher received a scrape on his arm but did not seek medical attention. The suspect is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a flannel shirt and beige pants.
