A Crab Orchard man was arrested Friday after he allegedly ran from the scene of a Wednesday accident that killed two women in Rockcastle County.
Shon C. Berryman, 24, was being held in the Rockcastle County Detention Center Saturday after being charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Kentucky State Police said that Berryman and Tammy Griffin were passengers in a pickup truck driven by Lagina Snow when it crashed Wednesday morning at the intersection of U.S. 150 and Ky. 70 about three miles west of Mount Vernon. Snow, 43, of Stanford and Griffin, 39, of Lancaster, were killed in the crash.
Witnesses told police they saw a man running away immediately after the crash, before any emergency workers arrived on the scene.
