CRAB ORCHARD — Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department arrested four people Friday in connection to a meth lab at 330 Schrock Avenue in Crab Orchard.
Christopher Leo Young, 26, Brian Haight, 37, and Brittany Payne, 23, all of Crab Orchard, were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of meth precurser and wanton endangerment.
A fourth person, Ricky Hale Jr., 30, of Brodhead, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of meth precursor and wanton endangerment. He also was charged with receiving stolen property, trafficking in a controlled substance and failure to appear, stemming from previous warrants.
All four were lodged in the Lincoln County Regional Jail. State police were called to dismantle the lab, which was found in the back room of the home.
The bust occurred about 1:10 p.m. after Sheriff Curt Folger responded to a complaint about a possible meth lab. Deputy Bill Hester and Crab Orchard Constable Jesse Harris assisted at the scene. According to Folger, it is unknown at the current time who owns the property.
