A Mercer County man was injured Sunday morning in a one-vehicle collision in Danville.
At 6:13 a.m., Danville police and firefighters, along with Boyle County Emergency Medical Service, responded to the collision on Ky. 33 near WHIR radio station.
Officers found Alvis White, 32, of Burgin lying next to a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.
Police said White’s vehicle veered off the road and collided with a rock wall adjacent to the northbound lane.
Police believe White had a medical condition that may have contributed to the accident. He was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and taken to the helipad at Kentucky School for the Deaf where he was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
His condition was unknown at press time, and the crash is being investigated by Danville police officer Jamie Ferrie.
