HARRODSBURG — A Danville man and a Harrodsburg woman were arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing a purse out of a woman’s vehicle in Mercer County, police said.
A woman filed a report with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office that her purse was stolen out of her vehicle.
At 11:30 p.m. Sunday, officers from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the Harrodsburg Police Department and the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office went to the Country Hearth Inn in Harrodsburg to investigate an unrelated narcotics complaint. While at the hotel, officers discovered the items that had been stolen out of the woman’s vehicle.
Holly Bailey, 30, of Harrodsburg, and John “Chris” Montgomery, 38, of Danville, were arrested and booked into the Boyle County Detention Center on felony charges of receiving stolen property.
As of this morning, a judge had not set their bond amounts.
