Parking for the fifth annual Veterans Appreciation Day event Monday at the National Guard Armory will be available at the old Palm Beach lot next to the armory and Danville Admiral Stadium.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Palm Beach lot is designated parking for the handicapped and seniors. Parking is also available at the stadium area. Golf cart shuttles to the armory will be available from both parking sites along with a shuttle bus. Parking in the armory lot is restricted to shuttle bus dropoff and pickup and registration. National Guardsmen will be assisting again this year with both parking areas. Heritage Hospice Veterans Committee members also will be available in the parking areas.
All veterans in Boyle, Garrard, Lincoln and Mercer counties are invited to come and bring one guest for a dinner that includes fish and barbecue and homemade desserts. Lots of door prizes will be given.
