Jessica Callahan
A Danville woman charged in an alleged murder conspiracy in Lincoln County likely will plead guilty next month in Boyle Circuit Court on related charges.
Jessica N. Callahan, 27, was indicted last summer in the identity theft of her then girlfriend, Bridget Paige. Callahan allegedly used Paige’s identity to withdraw more than $500 from her bank account.
Callahan appeared Tuesday in Boyle Circuit Court where it was decided she will enter her plea April 18.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Richie Bottoms said, “We don’t have a specific agreement. We’re working toward an agreement.”
Bottoms said there is still discussion over the conditions of her plea but agreed Callahan is in the direction of pleading guilty.
“We don’t have those agreements finalized yet,” he added.
Part of the discussion includes how much time she will serve in addition to her sentence in Lincoln County.
At the beginning of February, Callahan was sentenced in Lincoln Circuit Court to eight years on an amended charge of second-degree complicity to burglary.
Callahan allegedly was involved with three other Ohio women in a conspiracy to murder Minnie Goode of Hustonville.
Goode is the mother of Callahan’s former lover, who was assisting Paige in escaping a bad relationship with Callahan, according to authorities.
Fortunately, Goode was not home when two of the Ohio women entered her home. Law enforcement from Hustonville and Lincoln County intervened, and the four women were arrested.
