Bicyclist hit by car
A bicyclist was hospitalized Saturday after being struck by a car in south Danville.
According to Danville police, a 2004 Ford Taurus driven by Elyse Gordon, 24, of Danville was northbound on Hustonville Road about 2:15 p.m. when the vehicle struck Zhilin Kuang, 18, of Danville, who was riding a bicycle north on Hustonville Road.
Kuang was treated at the scene before being taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center by ambulance. The extent of Kuang’s injuries was unknown.
Woman hurt in collision
A Danville man was injured Sunday night when police say a driver ran a red light.
Police said a witness saw the 2006 Volvo driven by Timothy Dexter, 58, of Danville traveling west on West Walnut Street about 7:50 p.m. The witness said Dexter’s vehicle went through the red light at the intersection of West Walnut and South Fourth streets before colliding with a 2004 Chevy Malibu driven by Pamela Worthington, 40, of Danville.
Worthington was treated by emergency crews at the scene before being transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Officer Ryan Lipsomb was the investigating officer.
