Police brief: police seek info after two men are robbed on Saturday (November 12, 2012) |
Two men, one believed to be a Centre College student, were walking on Walnut Street when they were approached by an armed man, demanding money.
According to police, the men told the robber they had no cash. Upon discovering an ATM¿card in one of the victims’ wallets, he demanded they take him to an ATM and withdraw money, which they did.
At this point, police said, the robber fled across Walnut in the vicinity of Russell Street.
The subject is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 190 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket, a hat, and a white handkerchief covering his face.
According Danville Police Chief Tony Gray, police have a person of interest and are following up on clues.
