Three suspects were arrested early this morning after police received a tip about some car thefts in Danville.

Before 6:30 a.m., Danville police were advised that three people were driving around stealing items from unlocked vehicles.

“We received a tip from a confidential informant,” said Police Chief Tony Gray, adding the informant knew the suspects.

Police said the witness was able to describe each of the three suspects as well as the vehicle they were in.

Officer Jamie Ferrie located the vehicle parked behind the unemployment office on East Broadway along with Joshua White, 28, Kristen Harrison, 18, and Sarah Burchett, 18, all of Danville.

After an investigation, officers located possible stolen items in the vehicle that matched some of the items a victim had reported missing.

“Some car items were found, like GPS and car stereos,” Gray said.

All three suspects were arrested on charges of receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

Police are requesting residents in the Broadway and First Street areas to check their vehicles for possible missing items and report information to the police department.

More charges may be pending in the case.
