Two people were injured in a motor vehicle wreck on the Danville bypass Monday, police said.
About 7:55 a.m., Cheryl Anderson, 50, of Junction City, was driving a 2010 Hyundai Sonata northbound on the bypass and attempted to turn left onto Citation Drive. Anderson’s vehicle entered into the path of a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Sarah Wohner, 24, of Harrodsburg, according to police. Wohner was traveling southbound on the bypass when the front of her truck collided with the right side of Anderson’s car, police said.
The force of the impact caused Anderson’s vehicle to veer off the roadway into a guardrail. Danville and Boyle County paramedics transported Anderson and Wohner to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment.
