A Stanford man is in custody for allegedly trying to run down a man with his vehicle Sunday night, Danville police said.

Bryan Biggs, 36, is being held in the Boyle County Detention Center on felony second-degree assault and misdemeanor marijuana charges. As of this morning, he was being held without bond awaiting arraignment.

The charges stem from an incident Sunday night at the CVS pharmacy, police said. Biggs and William Sharp had an altercation in the parking lot, said Police Chief Tony Gray. Biggs allegedly struck Sharp with his white Chevrolet Impala and fled toward Hustonville Road. Authorities apprehended him near the city limits of Junction City, and more charges are pending, Gray said.

Sharp was treated at the scene for unknown injuries and transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Further information about his identity or condition was not available this morning, and authorities do not know what sparked the disagreement between Biggs and Sharp.
