JUNCTION CITY — Two Boyle County men and a juvenile were arrested Friday after allegedly attempting to steal irrigation piping from a Lincoln County farm.
Nicholas Goode, 31, of Junction City, and Nathan Griffin, 19, of Danville, have both been charged with theft by unlawful taking. Griffin was being held in the Lincoln County Regional Jail without bond Tuesday night.
The juvenile was charged with theft by unlawful taking and then released to his parents, Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said.
The owner of the farm found the two men and the juvenile on his farm, loading the pipes onto a trailer, according to a news release.
Folger said the owner stated he did not give permission to the men to take the pipes, but the men claimed the owner had given them permission over the phone.
