Charges reduced against brothers in standoff; solution sought for release

Boyle County Attorney Richard Campbell amended the charges against brothers Eugene and James Wesley Coffman from felonies to misdemeanors Wednesday, pre-empting a preliminary hearing that likely would have resulted in the brothers’ cases going before a grand jury and winding up in Boyle Circuit Court.
