Classes
A Matter of Balance — begin 9:30 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Lincoln County Public Library, 201 Lancaster St., Stanford. Class is designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. Classes are held each Monday for eight weeks. Program is free but space is limited. Body Recall — 9-10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through Nov. 16 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 555 E. Lexington Ave., Danville. Helps regain mobility, strength, energy and flexibility. Exercise for all ages. Exercises are done in a chair and with a chair. The exercises are also great for breast cancer recovery, heart patients, diabetics, arthritis, strokes and knee and hip replacements. Instructor is Carolyn Walter, (859) 548-8203.
Danville-Boyle County Adult Education Learning Center — Open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 1714 Perryville Road, Danville Square Suites, 112 (next to Big Lots).
