Danville police blotter for March 19-20

MARCH 19

7:57 a.m., caller from Benedict Drive residence says the father-in-law is intoxicated and refusing to leave the home; subject has active warrants out of Fayette County; arrest made.

9:30 a.m., a vehicle has struck a pedestrian at Lexington Avenue and Wilderness Road; assistance given.

10:01 a.m., caller has had windows shot out of her residence on North Fourth Street; assistance given.

10:12 a.m., caller from Ohio has not spoken to his son since Saturday and has received a call from his son's employer saying he did not show up for work today; caller is requesting officer to check on his son's residence; roommate said the subject left this morning to go to work; subject contacted and said he was OK and wasn't due to work until 1 p.m. today.

11:57 a.m., caller says a neighbor on North Third Street isn't keeping the yard clean and it is attracting snakes.

1:02 p.m., report of a vehicle fire on South Danville Bypass.

1:13 p.m., a female shoplifter is violating a no trespassing order at Walmart; subject is trying to run away from officers; arrest made.

1:15 p.m., caller says his ex-wife is illegally drawing money off of his insurance card.

1:27 p.m., caller says several subjects are on Hustonville Road handing out fliers and being rude to customers; unable to locate.

2:55 p.m., a male in a maroon pickup truck parked in front of a Russell Street residence is smoking marijuana.

3:57 p.m., officer is assisting social services at a North Hill-N-Dale Drive residence.

3:59 p.m., a severely intoxicated male at a Leonard Court residence is threatening if his mother calls the police, he will stab them; arrest made.

4:30 p.m., a vehicle has struck a motorcycle on Hustonville Road.

4:54 p.m., male shoplifter is in custody at Kroger.

5:01 p.m., male shoplifter is in custody at Liquor Mart.

7:37 p.m., report of a possible burglary attempt at Rainbow Cleaners on South Fourth Street; employee drove by and saw the rear door open.

8:32 p.m., report of a male knocking on caller's front door on Holtzclaw Avenue; male may be the caller’s ex-husband; arrest made.
