The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society will have a “Drive 4 UR Community Fundraiser” Saturday at Stuart Powell Ford-Lincoln-Mazda dealership, located on the Danville bypass. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to take a 10-minute test drive in a new car and Ford will donate $20 to the humane society for each test drive.
Free donuts and hot dogs will be offered.
The DBCHS is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Adoption fee is $100 for puppies and $75 for kittens.
In October, the adoption fee for dogs and cats older than 6 months of age is $50. This includes spay/neuter surgery, first vaccinations, de-worming, rabies shot, Boyle County dog tag and feline leukemia test for cats.
To adopt, applications must be completed.
