Casper is available for adoption at the local animal shelter. (R2 LOGUE / / March 11, 2013) |
Our special pets this week are Casper and Tex.
Casper, the friendly cat, is very handsome with his solid white coat. He lives in one of our kitty condos with several of his feline buddies. Casper gets along great with the other cats, but he is especially fond of human visitors. Casper is outgoing and always ready for some attention. Wouldn’t you like to have Casper as your best friend?
Tex is an adorable 11-week-old mixed breed puppy. He’s brown and white and you will notice that Tex has one blue eye. Tex is full of playful energy. He and his siblings come running to meet anyone who enters their kennel. Tex has been neutered and is ready to become a special member of a loving family.
If you are considering adding a pet to your family, come to our adoption center on the Danville bypass next to the fairgrounds, and visit the beautiful animals waiting for new homes. You also may preview many of our available pets at our website www.homes4pets.org.
The “kitten season” will soon be upon us. Cats produce kittens during the warm months of the year. Did you know that the humane society takes in about 150 cats and kittens each month during the late spring and summer? Many of these are kittens born to stray or feral cats. If you choose to feed stray or feral cats, please be responsible and have them spayed or neutered. Cats that have been altered live longer and have healthier lives.
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
