Grand jury indicts Casey man for drugs, bootlegging
LIBERTY — A Casey County man has been indicted on multiple drug dealing and bootlegging charges.

Joel Murphy Wethington, 57, of 2238 Woodrum Ridge Road, was indicted by a Casey County grand jury last week on four counts of allegedly selling hydrocodone, five counts of selling alcohol in a dry territory and one count of possession of illegal amounts of alcohol.

According to the indictments, the alleged offenses occurred between January and July. In the drug trafficking indictments, less than 20 dosage units of hydrocodone were involved. All of the bootlegging charges were second offenses, the indictments state.

A summons was issued for Wethington to appear in court Dec. 10. Deputy Jamie Walters testified before the grand jury.

Others indicted were:
Frederick Edward McNeil, 69, of 2418 Chestnut Level Road, third-degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting with Liberty Police Sgt. Randy Dial on Aug. 24. A summons was issued. Dial testified before the grand jury.
Lula Mae Rich, 56, of 101 Rabbit Run, alleged possession of a forged prescription for a controlled substance on Sept. 3. Bond was set at $1,000. Deputy Chad Weddle testified.
Pamela Marie Wesley, 32, of Danville, alleged third-offense driving under the influence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Sept. 20. A summons was issued. Weddle testified.
Joseph Marquisje Strunk, 28, of Eubank, identity theft and being a persistent felony offender for allegedly using the identifying information of Johnny Allen for his own benefit on Sept. 26. Bond was set at $2,500. Deputy Dennis Allen testified.
Brittany Nicole Hall, 21, of 1487 Shugars Hill Road, and Krista Michelle Clements, 25, of 155 Possum Trot Road, allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine on Sept. 22. Bonds were set at $25,000 each. Allen testified.
Timothy Ray Duncan, 35, and Amber Nicole Wall, 28, both of 1688 Schoolhouse Road, allegedly manufacturing meth on Sept. 3; Duncan also was indicted for being a persistent felony offender. Bond for Duncan was set at $25,000. A summons was issued for Wall. Allen testified.
Travis Allen Folger, 29, of Waynesburg, allegedly manufacturing meth and second-degree burglary for allegedly unlawfully entering the home of Joyce Glass on Aug. 5. Bond was set at $25,000. Allen testified.
Garry Todd Grider, 34, of 145 Dry Ridge Road, allegedly manufacturing meth and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Sept. 6. Bond was set at $25,000. Allen testified.
Chad Daniel Atwood, 34, 244 Taylor St., Liberty, allegedly trafficking in buprenorphine on Sept. 17. A summons was issued. Allen testified.
Kari Tansen Hogue, 27, of 3960 Ky. 49, allegedly trafficking in hydrocodone on July 10. Bond was set at $2,500. Walters testified.
Tracy William Glass, 40, 1688 Schoolhouse Road, alleged distribution of a meth precursor on Sept. 9. A summons was issued. Walters testified.
