Purse stolen from vehicle
HARRODSBURG — A woman reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle parked on Sunset Lane July 4, police said.
Brittany Carey, 30, of Harrodsburg, said the purse was stolen sometime between 1 and 3 p.m. July 4. The items taken include a Social Security card, checkbook and debit card, according to the police report. There are no suspects at this time.

Physical altercation lands man in hospital
HARRODSBURG — A physical altercation landed a New Haven man in the hospital and the person allegedly responsible remains at large, according to police.
At 3:30 a.m. June 30, an unknown man in a GMC pickup truck and Demarkus K. Masterson, 23, of New Haven, had a disagreement in the 100 block of Ewing Avenue, police said. The unidentified man allegedly beat Masterson so badly he had to be airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center and treated for injuries, according to police. Masterson was released from the hospital within 24 hours after the incident.
