PLEASANT HILL — A celebration of all things harvest kicks off Friday with The Heirloom Supper and Spirit Strolls to the Graveyard at Shaker Village.
“HarvestFest is a celebration of fall’s arrival at Shaker Village,” said Aimee Darnell, publicist for Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. “The season brings on-the-farm fun for the whole family and offers new opportunities to create memories.
“The weekend is absolutely packed with activities — the Heirloom Supper, the 5-Mile Trail Run, the Kids’ Village, u-pick pumpkins, farm olympics, best dessert competition, live music and so much more! And this year, we’ve added Spirit Strolls to the Graveyard. Guests can stroll down the lantern-lit turnpike to the cemetery, while listening to spooky stories from the past.”
The Heirloom Supper will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday. It will be a casual meal in the Trustee’s Office that will feature popular Shaker Village dishes. Cost is $25 for adults and $12.50 for kids 11 and under. Reservations are suggested; call (800) 734-5611, ext. 360.
The Spirit Strolls to the Graveyard will be at 6:30 and 8 p.m. every Friday and Saturday through Nov. 3. This event is free.
