Jerry McAninch (June 2, 2012) |
STANFORD — A Hustonville man who was charged with attempted murder and witness intimidation earlier this year has been indicted by a Lincoln County grand jury on the same charges.
Jerry McAninch, of 425 Sims Spur Road, was indicted on charges of attempted murder, intimidating a participant in the legal process, and tampering with physical evidence.
McAninch was arrested earlier this year after allegedly shooting at a confidential informant, a person identified in the original arrest citation as “an active participant in a criminal case against” McAninch.
Prior to the alleged attempted murder, McAninch had been arrested Jan. 19 for alleged first-degree trafficking in methadone.
He was one of 12 people netted by an undercover drug roundup conducted by state police.
McAninch was arrested on one count of trafficking in November before being arrested for the second count in January.
He has been lodged in the Lincoln County Regional Jail since he was arrested on the attempted murder charge.
