STANFORD — A church hayride took a dangerous turn for a young boy Sunday night at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
Jalen Smith, 8, was airlifted to the UK Children’s Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition today.
No information on the accident was available today from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department or Kentucky State Police.
Why is it law to secure yourself in your vehicle with a safety belt but we still allow "Hayrides" that more often than not wind up injuring or killing innocent people. Unless there is a way to secure the person's on the Hayride to be certain they wont be ejected or fall off and run over, they should be banned!!!!
