Man arrested after threat to Danville Christian Academy
Danville police arrested a local man Monday after receiving information of a possible threat made against Danville Christian Academy on Shakertown Road.

Police arrested Bennett R. Williams, 55, of Danville on a charge of second-degree terroristic threatening, a Class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

Debbie Lucas, headmaster of Danville Christian Academy, said the threat was handled seriously and students were safe and secure at all times.

It is uncertain the time the threat was made, but Lucas said the academy was not aware of the threat until near the end of the day.

Williams was not on school property when the threat was made.

He was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
