HARRODSBURG — Fire alarms rang out at the new Mercer County Judicial Center about 8 a.m. today after a motor in the basement quit functioning.
“It caused a lot of activity,” Mercer County Judge-Executive Milward Dedman said.
The malfunction has not caused other problems within the judicial center, according to Dedman, who says offices are working as normal.
“It turned out to be nothing serious. That’s a very good thing,” he said.
The motor helps run the cooling system, but there is a backup motor.
