Orientation planned at Bate 

Bate Middle School will hold sixth grade and new student orientation at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Students will meet with their teachers and administrative staff at this time. All new Bate parents and sixth graders are urged to attend. 

All students who will attend Bate Middle School (6th, 7th, 8th grades) will be contacted by their homeroom teacher this week in order to schedule meetings with parents and receive the 2012-2013 enrollment packets.

 

Closure scheduled for Ky. 1822 (Parksville Crosspike) in Boyle County

LEXINGTON — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a temporary closure is scheduled for Ky. 1822 (Parksville Crosspike) in Boyle County. The closure is necessary for culvert replacement work to be completed.  

Work began Monday. A portion of the road will closed at 7 a.m. and will remain closed until reopening at approximately 12:01 a.m. on Monday. 

The location of the work on Ky. 1822 (Parksville Crosspike) will be from mile point 3.4 to mile point 3.5. Appropriate signage and traffic control devices are in place to guide the traveling public.

Alternate route: Motorists can take Ky. 34 to the U.S. 127 bypass and access U.S. 150.

All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling near the work area.
