Mercer Habitat House to be dedicated

The Habitat for Humanity-Mercer County dedication service of the new home of the Heather Edwards family will be 3 p.m. Sunday. Everyone is invited to attend. Dress warmly for the half-hour outdoor service. The house is in Harrodsburg in the Quail Run subdivision at the far end of Pheasant Drive.     

Directions: The subdivision entrance is on North College Street (U.S. 127 North) between the World War II Tanker Memorial and the Diamond Point Welcome Center. Enter Pheasant Drive on the west side of North College Street, opposite the intersection with Warwick Road. Go to the far end of the street to the new house. 

 

Meetings

Boyle County Board of Education — 6 p.m. Thursday at the Boyle County High School Library. The working session agenda includes a discussion of the school data reports, staffing allocations for the 2013-2014 school year and the superintendent evaluation process.

Garrard County Board of Education — noon¿Thursday at the Garrard Educational Center. The special-called meeting agenda includes the superintendent search planning, discussion of insurance policies and a work session on the draft budget.
